Record year for Ladies Day

Ladies Day at Musselburgh Racecourse has been declared the most successful to date with an estimated 8,200 crowd - the course's largest modern day attendance. The June fixture has become one of Scotland's most popular race meetings and this year sold out in record time.

Musselburgh Racecourse praised at Racing's British Showcase Awards

Musselburgh Racecourse has been singled out for innovation and marketing excellence in Racing’s new British Showcase Awards.

The East Lothian track was praised for its introduction of a new racing fixture, the Edinburgh Cup, which resulted in a 33% jump in spectator numbers and was one of only four UK racecourses to receive “distinction” awards.

Musselburgh’s inaugural Edinburgh Cup in June pulled in a 7000 crowd and was an outstanding success in attracting some of the UK’s best trainers and stables.

I have been at Musselburgh Racecourse twice last year. The Champagne Lawn at Edinburgh Cup day is virtually course side and a great place to sit outside, drink champagne (or anything else) and watch the racing. The food options at the course are also great.
